While Dr. Fry’s work with clients is informed by tenets of multicultural and psychodynamic theories, she believes that each individual is the best guide to their own needs. She views therapy as a collaborative partnership, and appreciates client issues related to trauma & sexual assault, identity development, recurrent anxiety, and chronic mental illness. Her professional interests include the mind-body connection, the integration of spiritual issues in counseling and psychotherapy, and occupational identity and development. Dr. Fry enjoys working with couples and families as well as individuals, and has had extensive experience with the treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders of adolescence and childhood. She believes in helping to create communities that welcome and embrace diversity, and serves as an active member of several faith-based organizations that pursue social justice initiatives in the Pittsburgh area.
